WELCOME! My name is Katrice Crawford and I am the advisor for Minority Business Society. It is my pleasure to introduce you to this great organization and the Warrington College of Business Administration. The Minority Business Society (MBS) is a registered business student organization that strives to educate and inspire minority students, both personally and professionally. MBS is open to students from all majors that are interested in developing their business acumen. We present an array of speakers, forums, and social events to assist our members in a network of college support systems. We also strive to prepare our members for internship and full-time employment opportunities. Recently we have partnered with INROADS, a national organization whose mission is to develop and place talented minority students in the business industry and to prepare them for corporate and community leadership. MBS meeting are held on Tuesdays at 6:45 p.m. in Pugh Hall on a bi-weekly basis. It is our fervent hope that you will join us for our meetings and become an active member of our organization. As an academic advisor and career coach, I provide information and resources to assist students in succeeding at the University of Flordia and beyond. I encourage each of you to get involved in organizations like MBS, study hard, and utilize the wide variety of campus resources. The University of Florida and Gainesville Community have so much to offer. If you take advantage of it, it will only enrich this exciting time in your lives.
